Commitment-phobic? Use DITA to free your content from vendor dependence

What happens when you invest in a content management system (CMS) and then need to move your content to another system? If you use the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA), then you can export your content from system A, including the metadata that system A managed, to neutral, valid DITA source. You can then update the XML and import it into system B.

In this session, you will learn:

  • The overall process for migrating content between systems
  • How to evaluate the original DITA source support
  • How to evaluate the requirements for the new system
  • How to develop the interchange content model
